Backpacking South Asia - China - Transiberian railway - Europe
by Sarah
The year after I graduate college I would like to go backpacking in South Asia starting in India, Nepal, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos. Then travel up China to Beijing and then take the transiberian tour to Moscow and possibly make my way around Europe. Hello Sarah, for Southeast Asia, please check my budget guidelines which can be downloaded from this page Freebies: How to create and manage a backpacking budget. This guideline includes Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and India. Burma is the same, basic costs per day $20 (for budget backpackers). For Nepal basic costs per day $25 (budget level). Otherwise, the budget costs depend entirely on your personal preferences; budget, mid-priced and luxury. I don't know what kind of standard you're comfortable with... I don't know anything about budget for China and Russia because I haven't been there, maybe others have comments to this?
