I captured this in the Muslim district in Xi'an, China. It was a crowded street with food stalls and souvenir shops... A classic Asian night market. I used my Nikon D3100 with a 18-55mm lens.

This photo was taken when I joined a photo walk around Laguna Bay Loop, Philippines. The sunrise must have shaken off my sleepiness that early morning because as soon as the sun started to peep out of the clouds, we went down our cars and prepared our full battle gear, cameras, tripods, filters, the works.
Along the vast plains of Mabitac, Laguna, we saw several farmers toiling under the early morning sun. No questions asked, we went down immediately as it was another photo moment. "?Ngiti ka dyan! Baka mapadala ang litrato sa Amerika!" (= Smile! Your photo might be sent to America!) said one of the farmers to his fellow.
I used my Nikon D40 here.

Shanghai
Shanghai is not only the economic centre of China, but also a place full of contradictions where tradition and modernism live side by side in complete harmony. Shanghai is the City of the Future.

India is a land of temples. But, India at the same time also holds some very beautiful churches. While traveling to Coorg, the clouds moved around the Church roof, the sun played the perfect color rhythms and the moment was glorified by the cool breeze!

Black Dragon Lake in Lijiang, Yunnan China
Somewhere in the early 1980's I saw this particular photo in a book. It took me about 15 years to come to the point of going to China. In 1996 I came to Lijiang and visited this particular place, the Black Dragon Lake with a view towards the back Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (Mt. Yulong). Even now, more than 20 years later, I still feel touched by this view.
I've been several times to Lijiang (Yunnan) but the view from this point was never like the first time. I might visit Lijiang later this year on the bicycle (I will be in late October/November anyway there), and if so I will want to see this place again, just to find out if the magic is still there.
