Vietnam visa for Scandinavians (visa exemption)

by Søren Kastrup

Question: I´ll enter Vietnam around February. I'm Danish and can therefore stay for up to 15 days without a visa. So my question is: Can I after maybe 13 days travel back to Cambodia, then enter Vietnam again, and gain another 15 days?

Answer: Hey Søren, yes you can get another 15 days when you re-enter Vietnam, after you've been in Cambodia. But there are conditions of course.

-------------------------------------------------
Added by the author: Citizens who can enter Vietnam with NO visa and can stay in the country for 15 days: Scandinavians (Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland), South Korea, Japan and Russian Federation.

Visa Exemption Requirements:

1) "The intended period of stay is up to 15 days

2) The travelers hold valid passports of the above countries, with validity of at least 3 months from the intended date of entry into Vietnam

3) The traveler possesses, and could present upon request, a valid outbound ticket from Vietnam within 15 days of the arriving date

4) The traveler has not been banned from entering Vietnam."

Thank you!
Seems like there´s a lot of different experiences.. I will travel by bus, so I´m not sure if I should risk it. Seems like tourist Visa is the only solution, only I´m not sure when i´ll be arriving..

Will I be able to make a 1 month visa (in Denmark) saying that I will be entering Vietnam january-march?

Why not try the multiple entry visa? You can apply for this type of visa in case you would like to enter Cambodia or any other country from Vietnam and then re-enter without having to apply for another single visa.

Another option is to apply for another Vietnam visa in Cambodia. It gives you most flexibility!

According to their website, their [address] is:
