Welcome to Haad rin!

Just imagine this: During the day, you're sunbathing or playing volleyball. And at night, you grab your favorite shirt or dress, and head for the bars down the beach. And if you've timed it right, full moon party is just around the corner! ;-)

Where: Had Rin is located east of Thongsala and at the southern tip of Koh Phangan. If you're in Thongsala, take a Songthaew (100-150 B per person if full Songthaew) to Haadrin which is only a short songthaew ride away.

Much of the facilities in Haadrin is within walking distance. Restaurants, bars and massage salons are lined up to cater the young backpacker crowd.

Loads of bungalows/resorts fill the streets in Hadrin!

You can find budget options, but they fill up quickly. Many backpackers and tourists travel to Koh Pha Ngan to join the full moon party in Haad Rin! ;-)

PS! Sunrise beach (Haad Rin Nok) is where the moon parties are held!

So, if you want to party on full moon and stay in Had Rin, I suggest you book accommodation early.

The backpacker accommodations in Haad Rin are fully booked a couple of days before Full Moon and at full moon night! Don't expect to find the right accommodation for you in the middle of full moon.

Coral Bungalows

Price per night: from 500 B per night

Coral is a lively and popular place because of their parties and facilities. Like pool parties 3 nights a month, buffet parties, Thai massage, bike/jet ski rentals, fitness gym, swimming pool and a short walk to the Boxing Stadium.

They also have a beachfront restaurant/bar, internet access, travel agency and a movie lounge which is always packed.

Their restaurant serves Thai, Italian, Mexican and Western food!

Leela Beach Bungalows

Price per night: 300-600 B

You get nice, solid wooden bungalows with large bathroom and mosquito nets. They have a restaurant and a bar packed with backpackers at nights. Choose between Jungle side, Beachside or Big Rock bungalows!

Dancing Elephant

Price per night: From 170B (dorm)

This hostel is located in Haadrin village, surrounded by shops, restaurants and bars. Walk 2 minutes and you're already at the Full Moon Party and the beaches.

To cater party visitors, they offer package deals during the Moon Parties! Rates are normally 170B, but price go up during the Moon Parties.

Phangan Hostel in Hadrin

Price per night: From $9

This hostel is only a spitting distance from the Full Moon Party beach (5 minutes).

Phangan hostel has 3 different rooms with nearly 40 beds. You can safely stow your belongings in their safety boxes, and check your email at their internet cafe.
