So, where are the parties on Koh Pha Ngan?

Koh Phangan is infamous for its parties and they can be found everywhere on the island - EVERY night!

Bars in Koh Pha Ngan broadcast their parties with flyers and colorful signs, promoting Happy Hours and Happy Drinking. Look for these signs, if you haven't already heard the rumour about the next party.

Koh Pha Ngan is the island where backpackers from all around the world come together to be part of the excellent music, drink Thai buckets till they can't take it anymore and flirt with beautiful, tanned people!

Had Rin Nok has the largest concentration of bars and clubs on the island! Find beach front bars and clubs along the strip of Had Rin Nok. Perfect for the younger party crowd! But if you're the type who's more fond of a relaxed bar scene, I would not recommend to stay at Had Rin. Bars in Thongsala would be a better fit for you.

In Thongsala, you'll find lots of bars along the main street. Many of them are sports bars. You know, the usual pool table-beer-TV-sport setting ;-) There are also some small, cozy bars around Thongsala where you can just hang out and grab a beer.

Travelers on Thong Nai Pan beaches are a mix of young horny backpackers, couples and hippies!

There were only a few bars here when I visited the place back in Nov 2007, some more in April 2010, and now the number of bars in Thong Nai Pan have increased dramatically.

There are two beaches in Thong Nai Pan:

• Thong Nai Pan Yai (big beach)
• Thong Nai Pan Noi (small beach)
  

Nu Bar (Yai Beach)

Also a restaurant, the place is cool with earthly colored interior, scary wooden masks hanging on the wall, pool table and a dance floor where you can shake your ass to electronic music. We spent almost every night at Nu Bar!

It's a good place to start your evening and to end your evening! Drink nicely mixed cocktails or just grab a Singha beer.

Game Bar (Yai Beach)

If you want to relax in a comfortable sitting area and have some drinks, go to old-school Game Bar. Expats and backpackers can be found sitting around tables and drinking too many beers. Tuesdays and Fridays are party nights.

This is usually where people end up before or after partying all night. A good place to have a couple of drinks before you head out to the full moon party or the Half Moon Party.

Bars in Thong Nai Pan Noi

Thong Nai Pan Noi used be the party beach of both beaches, but now Yai beach is where the party scene is located.

Suggestions for bars in Thong Nai Pan Noi are "Better Than Sex" with laid-back atmosphere and Jungle Bar.
