Place to stay for single traveler in Langkawi

Question: Hi - I'm going to Langkawi for 2/3 days by myself. I'm a young-20's guy, looking to enjoy a beautiful beach, sip drinks, and meet other young people. Do you have any recommendations for hostels/nice inns that would fit that description? Thank you! Eli


Answer: Hello Ali, I haven't been in Langkawi so I can't give any recommendations.

The cheapest place to stay at Langkawi is Cenang beach, in that area you can find plenty of cheap (and safe) guesthouses. Check hostels and guesthouse in Langkawi for my personal recommendations here. From the 5 I mention on that page, I have stayed in 4 (only the Eagle Bay I only checked briefly).

You can stay at the northern beaches too, but the hotels there are a lot more expensive and, as you are a solo traveler, it might be harder to find other travelers to get in touch with.
