Traveling without a map is like traveling with your eyes blindfolded. For us who have no coordination it can get worse.

Maps are important because you save precious time and energy. Of course, some travelers prefer not to travel with maps and just want to wing it. "Let's just take the bus and see where we end up."

Now here are Google and Bing maps of South Korea, Seoul, Busan, Incheon International airport and Jeju island.

Seoul is the capital of South Korea and is one of the mega cities in East Asia. As you can see, it's an easy trip to North Korea's borders, to the DMZ (De-militarized zones).

From Seoul there are day tours to the DMZ (takes one hour to drive), where you can watch the guards on each side not moving a muscle. And of course, gorgeous countryside.

Jeju island hosts some of the best beaches in South Korea, and also diving opportunities. During the summer time (May to September) it can get really hot and humid, so a day trip to the island should be included in your schedule.

Busan is another popular destination in South Korea because of the beach life. Busan has several beaches to choose from and in the summer time they're packed with locals.
